Television actor Madhura Naik, who lost family members during to ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict, opened up on the dire situation faced by around 300 of her relatives currently stranded in Israel.

Television actor Madhura Naik recently took to Instagram to share a tragic incident involving her cousin sister and brother-in-law who were “brutally killed” amid the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict. She has now disclosed that around 300 of her family members are stranded in Israel due to the ongoing crisis.

In an interview with Hindustan Times, Madhura explained, “My family informed me about them missing, and only after 24 hours were their bodies identified. Their children were in the car along with them, and were taken back by the officers on duty.”

Madhura’s mother hails from Israel, and she expressed that they have frequently encountered such situations in the past. She said, “The situation unfortunately has always been like this in Israel, we have always faced a lot of such situations. My family is worried about how things are going to escalate. I felt it is necessary to talk about it in my social media post. I cannot reveal where I am right now, due to security reasons, neither can I tell you which members are stuck in Israel.”

She also revealed that she has been receiving hateful comments since posting about her family members’ deaths. She expressed, “I’ve been subjected to a considerable amount of communal hatred following my post. It’s disheartening that people are struggling to empathize with innocent lives.” Madhura reiterated her feeling of feeling safe in India and said, “It’s very important for all Jews in all parts of the world to stay safe. I feel extremely safe here in India, the authorities are very supportive of us.”

Earlier, Bollywood actor Nushrratt Bharuccha, who found herself stranded in Israel during the conflict, shared her harrowing experiences during the crisis and described how she safely managed to return to India.
