TV promo firm Planet 365 has created a new service dubbed “Brandit247” and targeted at local TV stations with limited marketing departments and resources. The marketing content would be tailored for the station, which can then insert footage of its on-air team and other local elements.

“The service simplifies the branding process,” said Planet 365 president Dylan Gerber. “We offer stations a selection of targeted creative spots and digital assets they can customize to create powerful, engaging, multiplatform campaigns with minimal expenditure.”

The spots include rights-cleared music and images, with each package containing a :30, :15, :10 and :05 spot with custom music, plus digital and social banners and templates. Brandit247 brand categories currently include station image, news image, weather, consumer, investigative, political and community.

Planet 365 has been behind imaging for shows such as “Dr. Phil” and “TMZ to” as well as IFC’s “Always On, Slightly Off” campaign and the the “Texas Connects Us” campaign for KXAS-TV Dallas.

Besides Gerber, others behind the Brandit247 initiative include Marty Frey, NBC’s former senior VP of affiliate marketing; former NBC Dallas brand marketing VP and WTTG/Fox 5 Washington, D.C., creative services director Gary Wann; and former WCAU/NBC 10 and WWSI/Telemundo 62 VP of creative services/programming Matt Boline.

“Our industry is under incredible pressure at a time when local journalism and community connections are needed most,” Frey said. “We created Brandit247 to offer station groups, general managers and creative service directors a cost-effective solution to attract new audiences as they face budget and staffing challenges.”

Additional partners include media marketing executives Juliet Lowrie and music director Eddie Wohl.
