ILLINOIS — Colder, more seasonable temperatures are expected this weekend, as the Chicago area could see some snow showers on Saturday, according to the National Weather Service Chicago.
Saturday will have a high of 36 degrees, and should be dry during the day before snow showers move in, the weather service said on its Twitter.
Snow will move into the area late Saturday evening and continue into Sunday morning. The weather service said slick travel conditions are expected during this time.

Snow amounts will vary from a coating to 2 inches, with locally higher amounts up to 3 inches, according to the weather service.
AccuWeather gave a 49 percent chance for “a coating to an inch” of snow for Chicago starting late Saturday into Sunday. The private forecaster also gave a 42 percent chance for 1 to 3 inches of snow.
Snow will continue into Sunday, which will have a high of 36 degrees. Snow is mainly expected in the morning and Sunday night will have a high of 28 and will be cloudy, according to the weather service.
More seasonable temperatures are expected to continue into the work week, and Monday will be cloudy with a high of 36 degrees.
