Round Rock defensive lineman Ansel Nedore (90) committed Saturday to Texas Tech. Nedore was the District 25-6A defensive lineman of the year last season.

The Round Rock football team is three weeks away from starting the 2022 season. On Saturday, Dragons defensive lineman Ansel Nedore firmed up his plans for where he’ll be at the start of the 2023 season.

Nedore, a 6-foot-3, 260-pound defensive tackle, publicly announced he’s committed to Texas Tech. According to recruiting services, he also has been offered scholarships by Texas, Baylor, Houston, SMU, TCU and UT-San Antonio.

Nedore was named the District 25-6A defensive lineman of the year last season after Round Rock went 9-2 and lost in the first round of the playoffs. He was credited with 57 tackles, including 11 tackles for loss with one sack. He also had four batted passes, two fumble recoveries and one caused fumble.

Dave Campbell’s Texas Football made him a third-team honoree on this year’s Texas high-school preseason Super Team.
