WASHINGTON, D.C. — On July 13, the Commission released a Sixth Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) seeking comment in two Media Bureau dockets on proposals to update rules pertaining to low-power TV and TV translator stations.

To rule on the matter, it seeks public comments. The dates for comment and reply comment submissions are now official.

MB Docket No. 03-185 and MB Docket No. 22-261 are in front of the Commission, and they pertain to the desire to update rules previously applicable to analog LPTV and translators in light of the transition to digital operations. Certain other technical, procedural, and other updates to LPTV/TV translator rules are included in the rulemaking.

The Commission set deadlines for filing comments and reply comments at 30 and 45 days, respectively, after publication of the NPRM in the Federal Register.

That transpired today.

As such, the comment and reply comment schedule is as follows:

Comment Date: October 24, 2022
Reply Comment Date: November 7, 2022

Commenters are asked to follow the filing instructions provided in the NPRM.
