Man Utd caught using edited audio in video of £70m man’s unveiling

Monday evening was certainly one to remember for Manchester United.

The Red Devils went into their home match against Liverpool on the back of two consecutive defeats to Brighton and Brentford in the Premier League – the latter a 4-0 hammering.

As such, not many football fans gave United a chance of achieving a positive result against Jurgen Klopp’s men.

But the hosts were eager to silence their hordes of doubters – and they did just that.

United beat their fierce northern rivals 2-1 thanks to goals from Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford, with the whole team performing to a high standard on the night.

As well as watching their team secure a first victory of 2022/23, United supporters also got a glimpse of their new £70 million signing Casemiro.

The Brazilian midfielder was unveiled on the Old Trafford pitch before kick-off, although the atmosphere in the ground at that time wasn’t the best due the protests over the Glazer family’s ownership.

So when Casemiro entered the pitch, there were chants of “we wants Glazers out, we want Glazers out”.

But United clearly didn’t want that to be heard when they posted footage of the unveiling on their social media channels, so they appear to have edited the audio.

And guess what? They’ve been caught out.

Here’s the video of Casemiro’s unveiling that United posted on Twitter…

Yeah, the audio certainly doesn’t match up.

In the fan footage, the message to the Glazers can be heard loud and clear, but there’s not even a hint of it in United’s video.

Instead, all that can be heard is chants of “United, United, United!”.

The signing of Casemiro certainly won’t stop the fans from protesting against the Glazer family, who continue to refuse to sell the club.

But while things aren’t exactly rosy at United right now, Casemiro remains hugely excited about his mega-money move from Real Madrid.

“There’s no doubt I’m really excited. I’ve been very warmly welcomed,” the five-time Champions League winner said. “I’ve already felt that special affection from everyone towards me and of course that’s really important.

“I felt that great affection from the moment I arrived and I think it’s a new challenge. I’m absolutely delighted.

“I feel like I’m 20 or 18 years of age, I’m raring to go, I’m excited to be amongst my teammates, playing in the stadium and I think that it’s just huge excitement and I’m absolutely delighted.”
