NEW DELHI: Blaupunkt Audio Monday said the company has inked a partnership with Fidelity Electronics to make its range of audio products in India, with the objective of acquiring a 10% share in India’s audio market.
Fidelity Electronics is a unit of Channelplay Limited, a retail and distribution solutions company.
Through this partnership, Blaupunkt Audio will be doubling its capacity in comparison and manufacture close to 1 million units over the next year, according to a company statement by the German consumer electronics company.
“With this strategic move to shift the manufacturing capacity to India in collaboration with one of the most trusted partners Fidelity Electronics, we are trying to extend our support to the Government of India’s Make in India initiative,” said Rohini Ahluwalia, Director- Sales & Marketing Blaupunkt Audio.
“We see a great potential in penetrating the tier-3 and tier-4 cities and therefore are working towards enhancing the supply chain by expanding our distributorship network and ecommerce partnerships,” Ahluwalia added.
She said Blaupunkt Audio has been witnessing 100% growth year-on-year, while also strengthening its headcount portfolio with aggressive hiring.

Recently, Blaupunkt Audio added Made in India soundbars and speakers namely SBA10, SBW200, and SBA01 to its portfolio.
