As the “senior” designation suggests, this is a position requiring several years of experience.

The typical salary for a senior financial consultant is around $95,000 in the United States. However, that average doesn’t include “additional pay,” which Glassdoor says could include cash bonuses, commissions, tips and profit sharing. With additional pay included, the average total pay for senior financial consultants is around $141,000.
Median base salary: $131,710
Finance managers are responsible for the financial health of organizations. Job duties might include data analysis, creating financial reports and managing the organization’s investments. As this is a managerial position, finance managers advise senior managers and help set long-term financial goals for the company.

Vice President of Finance

A vice president of finance is a high-level executive who oversees a company’s finances. That could include a variety of tasks, such as budgeting, cash flow management, investment strategy and profit maximization. Like the director position, this job also focuses on the company’s long-term growth. It may require analyzing data and making recommendations to help achieve the company’s long-term financial goals. The VP of finance also will help ensure compliance with various tax laws and regulations for the industry.
The median base salary for the vice president of finance is about $187,000. The median additional pay for a VP of finance is $126,394, for total median compensation of $313,762.
